The primary objective of this research project is to assess the feasibility of measuring diffused laser light to identify and classify contamination or wear on a secondary visor (optical panel in front of the sensor) The project named ?Exterior Sensor Module,? aims to ensure optimal sensor functionality under all specified conditions. A critical subsystem within this project is the cleaning system, designed to restore sensor signal quality in the event of external contamination on the secondary visor or window. The initial concept for the Exterior Sensor Module incorporates a long-range LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensor capable of detecting objects within a range up to 200 / 300 meters.
